Lovely Earlier 19th Century PA German Mounted Cut Paper Design, Hand-painted Paper leather object With finely woven cotten/linen fabricI purchased this little beauty from a longtime paper dealer friend in PA, who shares my great appreciation for such things. This is PA German for sure, in the Scherenschnitte tradition, and with the paper here appearing to have been hand painted before being cut, then laid down on lined paper. 2nd quarter 19th century I would guess. And it feels especially Rorschach like. (I see a face in there.) Very nice. Paper 4 13 16" x 4 1 16". Good antique
