and on the rear of the barrel

The original do have ivory grips a couple of chips and one small section where a slither of ivory is absent has been filled with some substitute

the pilots being Cormany

but as its 1953 dated it could also indicate artillery

S. WWII Hand Crank Air Raid Siren, complete with the original canvas cover and sling. These covers are almost always missing, and of the few examples we have had, most were without the cover.
