Despite arriving in Nepal just before WW2 it appears these never left the mountain kingdom during the conflict and as a result have remained in remarkably good condition retaining most original finish etc

This is a fine 27" long bladed British Naval Cutlass clearly stamped by the black steel bowl hand guard:

Fitted with a 22" Sword blade but used additionally as a socket bayonet. Blade marked "S HILL" the British Government contractor who manufactured the weapon. Blade marked with faint acceptance marks shows some pitting but not much wear
