13" tall x 8 3/4" across at widest x 5 1/2" deep and in great condition

but while the burners glee into the ashes

but with no tears otherwise and a gorgeous patina to the leather on both sides

which I find just about a perfect object

but it is a bit hard to tell

This one is a bit of a mystery, but I'm pretty certain it is a Saul Steinberg image, with his faces drawn on a photograph of standing lamps lined up next to a bus stop sign. The image here is on newsprint type paper, so I have to think clipped from somewhere and framed, and it looks to me like both date to the 1940s or so and indeed it seems quite in keeping
