This Personal Survival Pack dates from the late 1960s and was issued during the Vietnam War to Lieutenant Colonel Dean Lewis Kennedy. At nineteen, in April 1944, Lt. Col. Kennedy served in the Army Air Force and remains in the Air Force for thirty more years. He was a pilot in Europe in World War II, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and he commanded an EC47 squadron in Viet Nam. He passed away in 2011 and
