I found this piece at an estate sale in Marblehead

with a nice warm patina to the brass

made of beautiful olive wood

Orange Painted Much Loved Wooden Carpenter's Box decorative object but the paint remains brightI spotted this orange painted wooden carrying box from afar and knew I had to have it; the patina on its old orange paint, covered in scuffs and scrapes, is just perfect, as is its form, and its size plus it's useful for everything. I found it filled with old hardware, which its owner kindly relocated into another box, but it would also be great as a caddy for art supplies, or for mail, or silverware, or whatever. Just great. 12 1 2" long x 8 1 2 deep
