This is a lovely example of the German WWII Crimea Shield award, still retaining the original metal backing plate, which holds a black wool backing from the German Panzerkorps in place. We have never had one of these before! The wool is in great shape, with just a bit of fading, and no mothing. All four clips on the back are still intact, and hold the steel backing plate in place, which does show some surface
