Done on heavyweight watercolor paper and in very good condition with light wear to the corners

It looks like perhaps tiny screws or nails were initially used to join sides then abandoned in favor of glue

Late 19th early 20th century I believe, with finger jointed corners, brass hardware, and a beautifully shaped old wooden palette (sadly with a couple of mended splits, but still pretty, and still totally usable) that fits neatly inside. 9 7 8" w x 7 1 2" d x 2 3 4" t.
