This is a very nice "pocket" telescope, recently acquired as part of a large Optics collection IMA purchased in 2018 in England. It's definitely a British telescope, however unlike many telescopes, the name on this example does not give any indication of what unit the officer belonged to. The fitting on the wooden main barrel is marked: Capt. B. Faversham. While this could be a British officer, they were usually wont to
