I find it quite amazing that this is actually a real

All together weight is 9 1/2 pounds

but I closed those holes in the interest of preventing beading loss

I'd guess it was done by a street artist at a fair or tourist destination

The mending is white on white (two linen squares sewn on as second layers plus a double border square sewn in white thread), the darning stitiches a pretty soft blue.
