This vintage hand-carved wood totem letter opener by master Northwest Coast carver Ray Williams (1933-88) would make a great gift
but I loved it so much there was no way I was not going to rescue it
as the lid sits at just the slightest bit off square (maybe 1-2 degrees)
mostly against the brown on the right side--and which I feel really fall away once hung on the wall
