and since pretty much most of the free world was using American-supplied M1 pot at that time

Designed to attach to the waist belt in the center of the back the two straps go over the shoulders and attach to the D rings on the back of the triple ammunition pouches worn on the waist belt either side of the buckle to assist with the weight of the ammunition

Incredibly rare WW2 Russian captured beaded M40 Luftschutz helmet with original liner and chinstrap still present. Painted red with white star for Russian military police. Stamped sheet steel construction, M40 style with the addition of an embossed horizontal "bead" positioned at the apex of the front and rear visors and crown. All three liner retaining rivets are all intact. Shell is stamped with the manufacturers
