Tunstall, England, Jack and Jill Transferware Child's Alphabet Plate intrepid with lovely blue and brownI love this one for the depiction of the fallen Jack and Jill, tumbling dramatically done the hill, feeling a bit Alice in Wonderland y to me. Terrifically rich hand painted color over the transfer, and then of course I love the lettering on the alphabet marching along the rest of the plate like Victorian carved bone spelling letters, too. 7 3 8" in diameter.
