Another thing I like about her is that I can't quite pin her down--definitely she feels fairly stoic and intense (with pencil-drawn pupils that seem as if they might emit laser-beams)

and I think pretty fabulous still

Beautifully Crafted Antique Carved Wood and Woven Ash Splint Chair document box Another thing I like aboutOne sees doll chairs and benches in this manner around these parts from time to time usually referred to as Adirondack but I don't think I've ever seen one as lovely as perfectly aged as this one, which feels like pure sculpture to me. Late ish 19th century I believe, the frame of the chair was carved in pieces with tiny nails used to secure them where the pieces meet, with bent twigs for the sides and woven ash splint I believe for the back and seat.
