in a style which I believe would be referred to as grain-painting
From what I understand the softness and lightness of badger hair makes it especially useful for blending and softening edges in paintings
Old Printed Linen and Lace "Get Hot" Pin Cushion carved ivory murals by Dows are permanentHonestly, it is the handwritten "Get Hot" on one side of this old pin cushion that sold me on it; not quite sure the story, but happily provocative. It's a pretty good pin cushion too, fancy trim around the perimeter, and very tightly packed with what I'd guess is sawdust, making it quite solid. One side was heavily used, with pin pricks all over, but the other, with the single flower, not much at all. 4 7 8" in. diameter x 2 3 8" thick. Great
