and standing in front of a backdrop with great spindly trees to one side

and then stippled black hair and red crosses for his eyes--perfectly offset by the great green of the handle

The six balls inside are fairly small for the "cage" meaning that they naturally land in a staggered way, as show in first several photos, which I really love. Terrific old patina, substantial presence, nice both stood on end and laid horizontal. 12" x 2 1 8" x 2 1 8". Very good antique condition, no losses,
