Here we have a lovely blank firing attachment for the German WWII MG 34 machine gun This would replace the Rckstohlse (recoil sleeve) and Dse (nozzle) muzzle booster cone at the end of the barrel jacket, which would give enough of a gas assist to the barrel moving back to cycle the gun while using blanks. The Feuerdmpfer (flash hider) would screw onto the end of this so that the weight and feel were maintained.
