The M37 was meant as company/battalion support as compared to the more troublesome M1930 meant for squad/platoon support

It was intended to replace the earlier MG 34

but please remember that these are genuine Pre-WWII helmets and have been in storage for over 60 years

These original cans are offered in very good to excellent condition. Most cans have leather padding on the top carry handle, and some have leather on the side carry handle. There is always a possibility that some of these cans were WW2 manufactured and the markings are concealed under the postwar paint (no guarantees)
