This is a good example of the WWII M3 U. S. fighting knife, made by the very rare and desirable maker, Case & Sons Cutlery Co. It comes complete in an M6 leather scabbard. These fighting knives were preferred by American infantry during World War Two for hand to hand combat. With the marking, this is the desirable "2nd Pattern", which replaced the 1st Pattern with the marking and date on the blade. This was
