I found it at an antique shop in Upstate NY, heading up toward Lake George and a few feet away a miniature pack basket, also listed today, which felt quite sympatico with it. Looks scratch made to me, with plenty of imperfection to the cutting of the thwarts, which overlay that beautifully slatted floor of the boat. Maybe there was once a carved wooden rudder attached to the back, I'm not
