Carved, Polychromed Folk Art Saint with Very Large and Twisted Feet! antique writing box Structurally very solid and InI found this one in Kansas City and take her for a saint, perhaps dating to the 1940s or or so, though I'm not certain of her origins. What I love most about her are her very large feet, one of which points in the exact opposite direction to her head, suggesting that she is twisted into quite a state of conflict or confusion! The expression on her face rather reinforces this reading, as if she is rather lost and looking for guidance from above. All of
