Deren Einstze beim Bau der Festung Torgau sowie in den Feldzgen von 1812 und 1813 werden ebenso behandelt wie die Uniformierung, die Ausrstung und das Brckenmaterial. Neben der Instruktion zum Brckenschlag werden 24 Rapporte, Befehle etc. von 1812 ungekrzt wiedergegeben. Hauptquellen sind neben Hansch und Hoyer die Akten des Hauptstaatsarchivs in Dresden.
