It's very easy, it actually stays in place, and it's more streamlined than a mess of bobby pins. To use gather your hair like you're putting it in a ponytail, then twirl it into a bun against the back of your head, twisting the hair tightly. Stick the pin sideways through the bun (east west) and then do a sharp U turn to bring it back underneath, securing the bun to your head. Voil.
