Constructed of silvered bronze, horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing of a central raised inscription of DIE HEIMET FREI 1. 10. X. 1938 (THE HOMELAND IS FREE 1 10 OCTOBER 1938), circumscribed by an inscription of WIR DANKEN UNSEREM FHRER! (WE THANK OUR FHRER!) and a cluster of oak leaves bearing a central insignia of the Sudetendeutscher Heimetbund (Sudeten German Homeland Association), unmarked, measuring 47 mm
