Constructed of blackened brass, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath with scalloped edges, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 87 mm (w) x 43. 86 mm (h), weighing 12. 7 grams, demonstrating total loss of black finish
