Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, circumscribed by a raised inscription of FR VERDIENSTE IM LUFTSCHUTZ (FOR MERIT IN AIR PROTECTION), the reverse bearing a date of 1938 on the three and nine oclock arms, unmarked, measuring 17 mm (w) x 18 mm (h), in extremely fine
