Instituted on 23 September 1918. Post 1945 Rothe Copy. A silver, multi faceted eight pointed star, the obverse with a white enamelled Maltese cross, featuring a central Wrttemberg crown, with gold lions between the arms of the cross, surrounded by a broad red ring of enamels, inscribed Furchtlos un Trew (German Fearless and Loyal) in gold lettering, the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback
