Constructed of bronzed magnetic sheet metal, the obverse consisting of a stylized map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed to a magnetic metal backplate with a field grey wool liner and intact black paper backer, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by an unknown maker as documents in The Krim Shield, Sascha
