Russia, Imperial. A Cross Of St. George, Iii Class, C.1917 Hold Johns Grand Lodge( , 3 ). Instituted February 1807 by Tsar Alexander I. (1807 1917 issue). Constructed of silver, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed arms, the obverse bearing a central raised depiction of St. George slaying a dragon, the reverse bearing a central raised disc with Cyrillic characters (SG) as the saints monogram, the three and nine oclock arms etched with a number of 184111, the six oclock arm bearing an inscription of 3 (3RD CLASS), the twelve
