Their charm will add depth and texture to your table. These placemats are made out of extra thin sisal which is grown on farms belonging to female Taita weavers. They pick the leaves of the sisal plant, decorticate them, and dye the fibers with natural dyes (from local trees, flowers and soil). Then they hand roll the twine on their lap.
