Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, surrounding a pebbled oval field, bearing a raised inscription of SCHLAGETER, situated above a pair of crossed swords, with a Latin Cross extending from the top edge, in turn flanked by SPARTAKUS 1919 23 campaign clasps, the reverse with four visible clips securing the clasps in position, with a
