A 140Th Infantry Battalion Cap Badge, C.1915 United Republic of photocopied version of Howard FIn pickled copper, voided, measuring 38. 5 mm (w) x 47 mm (h), both lugs intact, scattered wear in the pickled finish, very light contact, better than very fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in New Brunswick with mobilization headquarters at Saint John, under the authority of G. O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed September 27, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel L. H. Bee with a strength of 33 officers and 820 other ranks.
