Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, the reverse with two of four attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 52. 60 mm (w) x 61. 20 mm (h), missing its backplate and branch determining wool liner, in very fine condition.
