Germany, Kriegsmarine. A U-Boat War Badge, by Förster & Barth visually-hidden Monetny Dvor mint marked and(U Boot Kriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaid by a central U Boat superimposed over a hollow void, the reverse with a crimped hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, the pinback maker marked with LDO code L 21 for Frster & Barth, Pforzheim, measuring 48. 80 mm
