Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, with an oak leaf wreath joining the quadrants, the obverse with a central raised monogram of King Johann, within a ring of blue enamel, the reverse with central raised dates 1870 1871, unmarked, measuring 27. 04 mm (w) x 31.
