The fluorescent orange yellow handle is a tactile grip that affords extra precision and control for finer cutting. The locking mechanism allows two distinct positions the second position literally bends the saw blade backwards to reach into otherwise difficult crannies. The little oblong hole in the blade is a subtle feature that makes it easier to grasp and unfold the blade. We highly recommend this little saw
