A vertically oriented oval silver badge, the obverse consisting of an oval ring with red white red striped enamels, the top decorated with a silver albatross with a black enameled badge at the bottom with a fouled anchor and royal crown, the reverse with a barrel hinge, broad and flat vertical pointed pinback and flat catch, marked C. F. Rothe on the obverse of the pinback,
