Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 42, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a fully intact reverse paper backer and field grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, the shield measuring 51. 05 mm (w) x 60. 62 mm (h), in extremely fine
