A 1938 National Trade Competition Victor’s Badge, Gold Grade in Case, By Gustav Brehmer consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac measuring 60 mm (w) x(Ehrenzeichen Reichssieger im Reichsberufswettkampf 1938). A superb example of the highly desirable gold grade, gilded bronze and enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, surrounding a central white enameled disc, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel, circumscribed by an inscription of REICHSSIEGER 1938, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked G.
