I'm not an antiques specialist so took it to a local dealer. He had a look and said he's sure it's French, from around 1870, square cut crystal with silver plated brass fittings. Condition is very good still completely usable as an Inkwell today. So. e wear on the Fittings where the brass is coming through from many years of use. The glass is generally very good but when you
