A Second World War period Gendarmerie Senior NCOs badge, constructed of gilded magnetic metal with insignia, the obverse consisting of a ribbed cockade style disc, overlaid by a central red enameled medallion, in turn bearing a raised and gilded Crown of St. Stephen, the reverse with two visible prongs securing the obverse applique in position, soldered with an attachment clip, unmarked, measuring 45 mm in diameter,
