Constructed of grey painted magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of GOTT MIT UNS (GOD WITH IS) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with a catch and claws emanating from a functional roller, the latter retaining an original brown leather strap, stamped with a makers mark of H. AURICH, DRESDEN
