A General Service Medal Newly Listed maker marked on obverse butIn nickel silver, number impressed "044289" on the reverse, measuring 38 mm in diameter, very light contact, edge nicks, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: Originally, the medal was awarded for service within the borders of South Africa from August 19, 1983, i. e. all members of the SADF. It was later extended to members of the SANDF who were involved in specific operations.
