Constructed of patinated magnetic cast iron, the obverse bearing a raised depiction of a Wehrmacht soldier keeping vigil over a fallen comrade lying on a bed, clutching a rifle and with his head bowed in silence, the reverse of the relief with an integrated suspension loop, maker marked with the logo of the Lauchhammer Iron Foundry in the eponymous German town, measuring 230 mm (w) x 355 mm (h), some oxidation is evident to the
