Germany, HJ. A Golden Leader’s Sports Badge, By Gustav Brehmer Buy Now demonstrating some loss of gilt(Fhrer Sportabzeichen der HJ). Instituted 6 May 1938 by Baldur von Schirach. (1938 1944 issue). Constructed of gilded magnetic iron, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, surrounding a black enameled void overlaid by a Tyr rune, in turn bearing a defaced by a mobile swastika situated within a circular ring bearing an inscription of FR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H. J. (FOR MERIT IN THE H. J.), the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and
