Constructed of silvered fine zinc, obverse depicting an oval shaped oak leaf wreath topped by a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika with a bow tie at the bottom, Karabiner 98k rifle with bayonet and carrying sling set diagonally across badge, maker marked with AS initial logo of Adolf Schwerdt, Stuttgart,
