Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Gebrder Schneider, Vienna, measuring 65. 48 mm (w) x 53. 86 mm (h), weighing 33. 2 grams,
