Instituted 4 July 1868 by King Wilhelm I. (1868 1918 issue). Constructed of silver with gilt, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central gilt medallion bearing a raised of King Wilhelm I, the reverse with an analogous gilt medallion bearing a number 20 in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 38. 85 mm (w) x 43. 46 mm (h),
