A German Cross In Gold; 1957 Version United Republic of The total number of burialsAn extremely well preserved example of an alternative de nazified 1957 version of a German Cross in gold; multi piece construction in silvered tombac; with a double overlaid sunburst pattern with eight points; the center with a denazified Iron Cross with a laurel leaf stem in place of the swastika (Hakenkreuz) with a stamped circular wreath impressed with oak leaves, ribbons and the introduction year (1941).
